How to Find Us

Cardiff, South Wales has superb road, rail and air links. It is incredibly easy to find. Use the postcode: CF10 5AL to locate the Event Village.


By Road

The Cardiff Triathlon Registration and Event Village are conveniently situated a few hundred meters from the A4232 expressway and less that 30 minutes from the M4. 


By Train

Cardiff Central  is on the main line and can be reached from all over the UK. Trains take about 2 hours from London.  Alternatively, you can book your train ticket through to Cardiff Bay, where you must change at Cardiff Central. Cardiff Bay Station is less than half a mile away from the Event Village.

There is a shuttle service (Cardiff Baycar, service No 6) running from Cardiff Central station, which takes just 8 minutes to arrive outside Wales Millennium Centre. The Baycar runs every 10 mins.  Taxi and Bus services also operate to and from Cardiff Central and Cardiff Bay station.

If you are intending on travelling by train please remember to check if a cycle reservation for your journey is required in advance of travel. More information regarding taking bikes on trains can be found on the National Rail website.


By Air

Road Closure Information

Please note, road closures will be in place for the Cardiff Triathlon. The following roads will be closed between 06:30 and 11:00 on Sunday 25th June;

  • East Tyndall Street from its junction with Schooner Way to its junction with Herbert Street and Lloyd George Avenue.
  • Lloyd George Avenue from its junction with Herbert Street to its junction with Bute Place.
  • Bute Place from its junction with Lloyd George Avenue to its junction with Pierhead Street.
  • James Street, Clarence Road, Avondale Road and Ferry Road.
  • International Drive to its junction with Olympian Way.
  • Olympian Way, Watkiss Way and left onto Dunleavy Drive from its junction with Watkiss Way to its junction with Dunleavy Drive Retail Park.

The following roads will be closed from 06:30 until 13:30 on Sunday 25th June; • East Tyndall Street from its junction with Schooner Way to its junction with Herbert Street and Lloyd George Avenue.

  • Lloyd George Avenue from its junction with Herbert Street to its junction with Bute Place.
  • Bute Place from its junction with Lloyd George Avenue to its junction with Pierhead Street.
  • James Street, Clarence Road, Avondale Road and Ferry Road to its junction with Clive Street.
