The Suunto Cardiff Triathlon, which is now entering its fourth year, has gone from strength to strength since its inaugural race in 2015 and was named ‘Commercial Event of the Year’ at Welsh Triathlons annual awards in November.
Active swim specialist Aqua Sphere is strengthening its long term partnership with Always Aim High, the team behind the UK’s most beautiful and iconic triathlon series which consists of the Cardiff Triathlon, the Suunto Adventure Triathlon Series comprising the Slateman, Snowman and Sandman triathlons, and the new Harlech Triathlon.
Always Aim High Events are proud to announce that they will be the new organisers for the hugely popular Llandudno Sea Triathlon from 2019 onwards.
The popular triathlon includes a thrilling sea swim, a challenging cycle section around the Great Orme with magnificent views of the coastline, and a final run route along the Victorian Promenade, over the Little Orme to Penrhyn and back.
The triathlon, which is organised by North Wales events specialists Always Aim High, will take place on Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd September and will bring with it everything that’s come to be expected of this spectacular season closer.
Sunday 11th June saw over 600 cyclists take on a very different version of the iconic Snowdonia Etape Eryri.
The popular sportive featured reversed routes for the first time in its five year history, but organisers Always Aim High Events also took the difficult decision the day before the ride to amend the routes in order make the ride safer for the cyclists taking part.
The Cardiff Triathlon will offer one of the biggest cash prize purses in UK triathlon this summer, with a staggering £10,000 allocated to the top five men and women in the British Triathlon Senior Elite category of the race.
