Refunds, Transfers, Amendments and Cancellation Policies:

Refunds (if you have entered an event on or after 19/10/15)

•   You are eligible for a full refund (minus a £5.00 admin fee and the online booking fee) within the 14 days cooling off period from the day of booking. The cooling off period does not apply where a booking is made within 14 days of the event date.

Any withdrawals after the 14 days cooling off period will not be eligible for a refund. Due to the nature of sporting events we are unable to make exceptions for injuries, pregnancy etc.

Transfers

•   You are able to transfer your entry to another person up to 30 days before the event. The personal details on the online entry must be updated using the login details provided in the original entry confirmation email.

After the 30 day cut off you are no longer able to transfer your entry to another competitor.

Due to reasons of competitor safety you are strictly not allowed to race under someone else’s name.  Anyone caught doing so will be immediately disqualified. If you wish to transfer your place to someone else you must do so before 30 days of the event taking place.

  • You are able to change the distance of an event you have entered (eg. Full Marathon to Half Marathon), however, this can only be done up to 30 days prior to the event and this will be subject to a £5.00 admin fee. 
  • Please contact us on 01248 723553, card payment will be taken over the phone for the admin fee with transfers administrated by office staff.

You will not be subject to a refund should the change be to a shorter distance. If you wish to change to a longer distance you will be subject to pay the difference plus an admin fee of £5.00. 

After the 30 day cut off you are no longer able to change the distance of your entry. Should the event be sold out, refunds and transfers will not be permitted.

Transferring to another event

•   You may transfer your entry to another Always Aim High event taking place within 6 months of the date of the event you originally entered. This will be subject to a £5.00 admin fee. This can only be done up to 30 days prior to the event you wish to transfer from.

  • Once an event is sold out, you will not be able to transfer out of the event to another. 

•   You cannot transfer to an event that is sold-out.

•   Entries can only be transferred once and thereafter will not be eligible for a transfer.

•   If the cost of the original event entered does not cover the cost of the event you are transferring to you will be required to pay the difference.

•   If the event you wish to transfer to costs less than the original event you entered, you will not be eligible for a refund of the difference, and the transfer will be subject to a £5.00 admin charge.

Route Amendment and Cancellation Policy

Always Aim High Events host the best and safest events possible.  In the event of circumstances beyond our control, which results in potentially unsafe conditions, Always Aim High Events will either:

1. Amend the course to make the event safe. For our triathlons this may include switching to a duathlon or aquathon and for all our events may include modifying the start time, route(s) and/or cut off times:

2. Where conditions cannot be made safe, cancel the event

Where the event is modified under condition 1 above, no refund will be offered. In the event of a cancellation under condition 2 above, competitors will be offered the option to transfer to the next year’s event under the same terms of their existing registration.

Where possible, we shall give at least 24 hours notice to any potential amendment or cancellation. 

No refunds will be offered if cancellation is due to an unforeseeable natural disaster or ‘act of God’.

Refunds (if you have entered an event on/before 19/10/15

  • A full refund will be available up to 6 months before an event (less £5 admin fee plus booking fee). For example, if the event takes place on 16th June 2015 you would be entitled to a full refund up until midnight on 16th December 2015.
  • You will be entitled to a 50% refund up to 3 months before the event (less £5 admin fee plus booking fee). For example, if the event takes place on 16th June 2015 you would be entitled to a 50% refund up until midnight on 16th March 2015.
  • Within 3 months of the event no refunds will be permitted. However, transfers may be made in with line with the transfers policy outlined below.
  • Registration fee is outside our control and will not be refunded by Always Aim High Events.
  • Always Aim High operates a 7 day cooling off period on entries to events. You are able to receive a full refund on your entry (minus £5 admin fee) to any event within 7 days of the date and time of entry.

Transfers

Transfers to another competitor

  • You may transfer or sell your place to another person wishing to take part in the event. This must be done at least two weeks prior to the event. You are responsible for updating the personal information which can be accessed via the details provided in the confirmation email you received upon entering the event. You do not need to inform us of these changes, however the personal details on the entry must be updated.

Transferring to another event

  • Subject to an admin fee of £5, you may transfer your entry to another Always Aim High event taking place within 6 months of the date of the event you originally entered. For example, if the date of the event originally entered was 3rd March 2015, you would be able to transfer to any other event taking place before 3rd September 2015. This must be done at least one month prior to the event.
  • This type of transfer cannot take place to and from any of our Triathlon events.
  • This type of transfer cannot take place if the event is sold-out.
  • Entries can only be transferred once and thereafter will not be refundable.
  • If the original entered event does not cover the cost of the event you are transferring to you will be responsible for paying the difference.
  • If the event costs less than the original event you will not be subject to a refund for this amount.

All prizes must be collected on the day at the event prize giving. T shirts and other event "goodies" must be collected on the day.
