That’s a WRAP! Thanks for an amazing 2018 Season and we’ll see you next in 2019!

Well that’s that for 2018! After the marvellously muddy 2018 Odlo Coed y Brenin Trail Duathlon, we’re bringing our 2018 season to a close. Thank you so much to everyone who has made this year a huge success. We’re incredibly proud of all of the events we’ve staged over the course of the year which has seen us go from strength to strength. 2018 gave us some incredible moments:

Records tumbled:

James Scott-Farringdon blew the competition away at the Snowman Triathlon Legend, smashing the course record by over an hour. Cardiff Triathlon was the biggest it has ever been, and we had the warmest Slateman water temperature we’ve ever had, even warmer than the Sandman!

New events & distances:

A sea of orange t-shirts at the Snowdonia Trail Marathon, where we introduced our first ever Ultra marathon distance event. Our biggest ever Junior Sandman Triathlon with the introduction of a new inclusive course and a brand new duathlon at Slateman.

£100,000’s raised for different charities & community projects:

We’ve had competitors take part in aid of 100’s of different charities and communities groups at our events over the course of the 2018 season. We’ve given people a platform to raise funds for Parkinsons UK at the Tour de Mon, Breast Cancer UK at the Slateman, and Prostate Cancer UK at Coed y Brenin Trail Duathlon. We’ve also donated to extremely worthwhile causes through Always AIm High Community Events and our Marshall Scheme.

And who could forget those amazing Adventure Triathlon Series medals #finishthejigsaw #gimmedatbling

Tim Lloyd, Director of Always Aim High, said: “We’d like to thank all of our competitors for over the course of the 2018 Season. We’d also like to thank all of our competitor’s supporters and of course all the marshals along the way. Our races simply wouldn’t happen without their tireless dedication and enthusiasm”.

“Last and by no means least we’d like to thank all of our event partners who have been great support to us at this and our other events.”

We’ve got a fantastic Race Calendar planned for 2019. We’ve added the Conwy Marathon our first ever full distance road marathon and the formidable Slateman Legend Distance. We’ve got some other surprises up our sleeve, so watch this space!
