Adventure Championships 2022 Triathlon Slateman Super Sprint
What a start! The first part of the Adventure Championships, The Slateman Triathlon is the most Iconic Adventure Triathlon in Wales. Starting in Llanberis; the heart of Snowdonia’s industrial heritage this is an unparalleled race which combines stunning scenery with epic challenges. 220 Tri Magazine has listed the Slateman run course as one of the best in the world!
Swim in Llyn Padarn in the shadow of Snowdon surrounded by the history of Slate Mining in the Welsh hills.
Cycle alongside Snowdon, towards the famous Llanberis mountain pass. You’ll first cycle past the historic Dinorwic Slate Quarry and on through Nant Peris; as the climb just starts to burn you’ll be reaching the turning point and heading back down the valley. The section from Nant Peris up the Llanberis Pass is on closed roads.
Running on some of the best trails around, you’ll go past Vivian Quarry, and head towards Dinorwic, before turning steeply downhill through beautiful forests, with glimpses of Snowdon, past the Quarry Hospital and back along the home straight through the fields and to the finish line where a warm Always Aim High welcome will greet you.
