Two Firsts For Always Aim High Events
It was the first time runners with dogs have joined an Always Aim High Event as they were welcomed to join other runners at the first Torchlight Trail race.
Following on from a jam-packed day, focus moved to the night ahead as runners took to the trails of Newborough Forest guided only by torchlight and reflective collars! As the sun set over Llanddwyn island 30 runners lined up with their dogs on the start line.
The 5k and 10k races both set off at 19:30 with the cani-crossers joining the other runners from a separate start line. 5km runners took on one loop of the course with the 10k runners and their four legged friends heading back out again a second time after re-energising at the event village aid station.
Emerging from the forest and down towards the beach runners were rewarded with a spectacularly dramatic sunset sky of reds and pinks. A fitting end to a successful event that looks to become a staple in the Always Aim High Events Calendar.
