Weston Park 2023 Triathlon Super-Sprint
The Super-Sprint Triathlon begins with a 400-metre swim in Weston Park Lake, followed by a beautiful 11.7km cycle and an impressive 2.5km run with views of the Weston Park house at the finish line.
Beginning with a 400m swim in a natural pool, surrounded by greenery and bird life, this is certainly a tranquil triathlon. Exit the water and make your way across open parkland to transition for the first time.
Head out on your bike for 2 laps of our speedy closed roads course. Take the time to look and you won’t miss some of the natural flora and fauna on offer as you exit the estate. Take a sharp left and think sprint speed for 1.5km, then it’s another sharp left back into the estate for stretches of tree lined roads. You’ll navigate past grand estate buildings before spotting transition. With two laps of the course, expect your second to be faster as you begin to feel familiar with the roads and turns.
With your running shoes on you’ll feel the full charm of the Weston Park estate. The route will initially send you running through open parkland alongside the bike loop, before turning you into a woodland garden. Here things get impressive; you’ll head on a 180degree run of a flawless lake before darting around paths dwarfed by ancient trees. You’ll pop out the woodland to impressive views of the Weston Park house where the finish line is only 200m away - it’s a sprint finisher!
