Postponement of the Anglesey Trail Half Marathon & 10k

Published: 15.03.2021

In light of the continuing covid-19 situation, again we have no choice but to postpone the Anglesey Trail Half Marathon to later on this year. We realise that it is the 3rd postponement of this event, however, sadly it is unavoidable due to the ongoing situation in Wales, we are following Welsh Government restrictions and we fully support the decisions made by them regarding the safe return of events. The legislation of events here in Wales are devolved and any decisions on the roadmap to recovery are made by the Welsh Government and not Westminster.

We understand this will be disappointing for those who have been looking forward to this highly popular event in the race calendar, your disappointment is shared by all of us at Always Aim High. That said, the health, safety and well-being of everyone at our events; athletes, supporters and communities, is at the heart of everything we do.

The new date for the event will be on Sunday 14th November 2021. An email has already been sent out to our participants. All current entrants will be automatically transferred to the new November date. This new winter date will allow us to explore new and exciting trails on the route - we will provide more information on this when we can.

Again, we cannot thank you all enough for the support we have received over the past 12 months, without the continued kindness of our customers we simply could not get through. This is a difficult time for the entire sports community and your patience and understanding means a huge amount. We are hopeful and optimistic that with the vaccine roll out and the positive news of the infection rates dropping here in Wales, we will be able to see the return of our events soon.

Thank you again for all your patience and understanding, we can’t wait to see you back racing in beautiful Wales again soon.
