Always Aim High Events are incredibly proud to announce that we have teamed up with the RAF Benevolent Fund for the 2020 season. The RAF Benevolent Fund works tirelessly to provide assistance to the RAF Family, when they are in need and support the morale and wellbeing of the serving RAF.
They provide a wide range of services supporting families and children on RAF stations, as well as relationship counselling for RAF couples and respite breaks for RAF families and veterans.
RAF Benevolent Fund will be direct charity partners for the iconic Odlo Tour de Mon cycle sportive, with its flying mile at RAF Valley, the World’s Steepest Street Race in Harlech, and the formidable Snowdon24. RAF Benevolent Fund will be making entries to all of these incredible events available to any of the RAF Family who want to take on a challenge to raise much needed funds for this very worthwhile cause.
This partnership forms part of a wider goal for Always Aim High Events to increase awareness of the work that charities do in our communities. We will be working hard to bring you new initiatives of our own over the next 12 months and beyond.
Tim Lloyd, Always Aim High Events Director “In the sporting events industry, we know that we can provide fantastic opportunities for people to fundraise for incredible causes. Here at Always Aim High Events we’re incredibly proud to be able to offer the RAF Benevolent Fund challenges that are both achievable and a real test of an athlete's capabilities. We can also give them a platform to shout about the amazing work they do too.”
Ruth Gilford, RAF Benevolent Fund Community Fundraiser, said “Last year the RAF Benevolent Fund launched an ambitious campaign to double the number of people it supports by 2022. We simply couldn't make this pledge without the support of organisations like Always Aim High. Thanks to Always Aim High, the Fund is able to reach more members of the RAF Family in Wales."
