A legendary route. Three decades of history. Nick Beer Llandudno 10K returns for 2027

Published: 09.10.2026

More than 30 years of racing, spectacular coastal scenery and a course that keeps runners coming back: the Nick Beer Llandudno 10K returns on Sunday 7th February 2027.

Starting on Llandudno’s Victorian promenade, this much-loved race takes runners around the mighty Great Orme, where challenging climbs are rewarded with sweeping views towards Eryri and Anglesey. It’s a distinctive early-season challenge with history at every turn.

Previously organised by North Wales Road Runners Club and now delivered by Always Aim High Events, the race proudly retains its community roots, supporting local charities and the club.

30-Minute Challenge is back for 2027

Its course records have stood the test of time: Nick Swinburn’s 30:34 from 2009 remains the men’s benchmark, while Sara Willhoit set the women’s record of 35:37 in 2022.

Adding to the excitement, the 30-Minute Challenge is back for 2027, offering £100 cash to the first runner finishing under 30 minutes. With nobody yet breaking that barrier, could this be the year history is made?

Whether you’re chasing a record, tackling a personal challenge or soaking up the atmosphere, join generations of runners who have taken on this unforgettable route.

Your next chapter starts on the Llandudno start line.
