12th Annual Tour de Môn: A Stunning Success – The Return of the Flying Mile
This weekend, we proudly celebrated the 12th edition of our spectacular cycle sportive, the Tour de Môn.
We were thrilled to welcome 1,000 riders who took on one of three challenging routes: the 107-mile Mawr, the 77-mile Canol, and the 46-mile Bach. Each route offered a breathtaking circumnavigation of Anglesey’s beautiful coastline, showcasing iconic sights such as the Menai Suspension Bridge, the charming village of Beaumaris, the historic Melin Llynnon (home of the famous Mônuts), and the stunning Trearddur Bay, before finishing back at Newry Green, Holyhead.
All cyclists were set off with a warm and spirited welcome from Holyhead’s Town Crier, Geoff Evans, whose ringing voice and lively presence added a touch of tradition and ceremony to the start line. His enthusiasm set the perfect tone for an unforgettable day on the road.
