Anglesey Half Marathon & 10K 2026: Fully Closed Roads for the First Time & New Venue!
The Jones o Gyrmu Anglesey Half Marathon & 10K, a beloved fixture on the running calendar, returns on Sunday 1st March — with an exciting new course & venue!
For the first time in its 15-year history, the half marathon will take place entirely on fully closed roads, offering runners an uninterrupted journey through the stunning landscapes of Anglesey.
Due to ongoing work on the Menai Suspension Bridge, the 2026 race will move to the heart of Anglesey at the Anglesey Showground. This new venue is easily accessible from the A55 and offers ample parking, making it convenient for participants and spectators alike.
The new route still captures Eryri’s iconic mountain views and Anglesey’s rolling roads, providing a beautiful and challenging course for runners of all levels.
Head of Operations at Always Aim High Events, Claire Stones, said:
"While we are sad to move away from the Menai Bridge area after a wonderful 15 years, we are excited to see this iconic race grow with a brand-new course and venue. We are thrilled to be able to offer a fully closed-road route for the half marathon, ensuring a more enjoyable experience for all participants. The Anglesey Showground is easily accessible just off the A55 and is a fabulous location for this event."
