Mountain Adventure Fund Join Us as a Headline Charity for the Snowman Triathlon, Duathlon and Swims

Published: 12.03.2026

The Mountain Adventure Fund has been announced as the new Headline Partner of the UK’s toughest multisport race – The Snowman.

This exciting collaboration aims to highlight the incredible work of The Mountain Adventure Fund while encouraging participants to raise funds for the charity.

A Legendary Event in the Heart of North Wales

The Snowman is widely regarded as one of the UK’s most iconic and demanding multi-terrain triathlons and duathlons, crowned Event of the Year at the Welsh Triathlon Awards in 2021.

Set against the spectacular backdrop of North Wales, the race combines breathtaking landscapes with a course designed to push competitors to their limits. Famous for its relentless course and unexpected challenges, The Snowman offers an experience as rewarding as it is challenging.

Tough, thrilling and unforgettable, it’s the ultimate test of endurance and a bucket-list race for triathletes ready to take on something truly epic.

Competing for a Cause

The Mountain Adventure Fund, an initiative of the Mountain Training Trust (reg charity no. 1064023), operates at Plas y Brenin, providing young people from financially disadvantaged backgrounds the opportunity to be inspired by the outdoors, helping them to improve their physical and mental well-being.

Through subsidising costs, the fund provides week long residences at Plas y Brenin, as well as covering travel costs to and from their schools. Having supported more than 300 young people to take part in residential weeks and local activities since 2023, this year, the programme aims to expand its reach to more than 400 young people across the UK. Funds raised through the Snowman events will directly support children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience the great outdoors.

Participants entering the Snowman events can choose to support the Mountain Adventure Fund as part of their race journey. To get involved, simply select the box on your booking form when entering. There is no minimum amount- every penny counts!

There are also a number of free tickets available for fundraisers. If you would like to apply for a free space (minimum sponsorship £500), please contact Roz Howling
