Tom Harrison House joins forces with Bala Triathlon
We’re thrilled to announce our new charity partnership with Tom Harrison House at the Bala Triathlon.
Tom Harrison House is an addiction recovery centre supporting veterans from across the UK and all three services as well as still-serving soldiers, reservists and those in the emergency services. The programme also offers support to family members. The specialist team at the centre are supported by dedicated volunteers, all who have been through the programme themselves.
Claire Stones, Head of Operations at Always Aim High Events said: ‘We are beyond delighted to be working with Tom Harrison House. The importance of focus, motivation and self-belief in the amazing work they do make them a perfect fit for our events. We can’t wait to see their residents and supporters on the start line and we hope lots of people get behind this partnership to help raise money for this inspiring charity who are changing lives’
Tom Harrison House has a long-standing relationship with Bala Triathlon; Bridge House offers supported accommodation for those who have completed the Tom Harrison House programme and residents have previously competed at Bala.
Signing up for Bala gave me a focus and helped build my relationships with the Tom Harrison and Bridge House staff. Exercise is a massive part of my recovery, it is just as beneficial for my mental health as it is my physical health.
