The 13th edition of the Craft Snowman Triathlon & Duathlon, known as the toughest triathlon in the UK, and certainly one of the most spectacular, returned once more to the National Outdoor Centre at Plas y Brenin, Capel Curig.

The winds were strong and the skies grey, but racers were ready to take on the course, producing some great racing in 2023!

The Snowman returned to the National Mountain Centre at Plas y Brenin for a weekend of epic racing, with a new headline partner, Craft Sportswear.

The clouds were low and grey in the morning hiding the mountain peaks, as if offering a warning to the athletes lined up on the shores of Llyn Mymbyr. The Snowman is known as the toughest triathlon in the UK and the challenge was on!

The long-awaited return to racing, our first event back- The Snowman Triathlon

Over 600 triathletes turned out over this weekend for the 2021 Snowman Triathlon at Plas y Brenin in Capel Curig. The Snowman was the first event back in our long-awaited return, with our remaining 2021 events now following until the end of the year.

Record Number of Competitors for 'the UK's Toughest Triathlon Race'

Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th July saw a record number of competitors descend on the national mountain sports centre at Plas y Brenin, Capel Curig to take on what is quite possibly the toughest standard and half iron distance race in the country - the Snowman Triathlon.
