Always Aim High Events Announces New Eirias Triathlon and Duathlon for 2025
Always Aim High Events, renowned for organising some of North Wales' most iconic sporting events, is thrilled to announce the addition of a new pool triathlon and duathlon to their 2025 event calendar: the Eirias Triathlon and Duathlon.
Traditionally, the triathlon season for Always Aim High Events kicks off with the Harlech Sprint Triathlon and Duathlon, a beloved event in the town of Harlech for over 20 years. However, following the closure of the Harlech pool earlier this year, the event will no longer be able to take place there.
In response, the company has selected a new and exciting location in Eirias Park, Colwyn Bay. Participants will enjoy a 400m swim in the Colwyn Leisure Centre pool, followed by a scenic 20k bike route, culminating in a 5K run that finishes with a lap of the athletics track in Stadiwm CSM. Duathletes will substitute the swim leg with a shorter run.

The Eirias Triathlon is set to be the ideal early-season event to kick off the triathlon calendar. Scheduled for Sunday, 6th April 2025, the event will feature a Sprint Triathlon and a Sprint Duathlon. Additionally, plans are underway to include a junior race, in collaboration with the newly established GOG Junior Club, to encourage local youth participation.
