Thank you for helping us support Size of Wales in 2025
Always Aim High Events is proud to have been supporting Size of Wales since 2020. Through this ongoing partnership, our participants continue to make a real impact, helping communities plant thousands of trees and protect vital tropical forests.
This year, we are thrilled to contribute over £1,900 towards these efforts. This total includes donations from our Tees4Trees initiative as well as our carbon reduction contribution, made at the point of entry by participants.
The Size of Wales is a national charity that aims to inspire the people of Wales to help tackle climate change by taking simple positive actions. They work with schools, businesses, community groups, and the Welsh Government to raise funds to protect tropical forests, support communities to plant trees overseas and raise awareness of the importance of forests in tackling climate change. They also run an inspiring campaign calling for Wales to become a deforestation-free nation and reduce its overseas deforestation footprint.
THIS YEARS DONATION
The 2025 donation we have made will support tree growing and forest protection in tropical regions around the world.
The donation has been specifically allocated to forest protection in the Wampis territory in the Amazon, helping to safeguard rainforest ecosystems while promoting the rights of Indigenous Peoples and local communities as the true guardians of their forests.
In addition, it will also be directed to the Mbale Tree Growing Programme in Uganda, in partnership with METGE.
LAST YEARS DONATION
The donation we made from 2024 supported Regrow Borneo. Thanks to donors, collaborators, and partners, the project exceeded its funding goals, allowing it to thrive independently and now be locally led by community partners.
Surplus funds from this have been reallocated to METGE, supporting their forest livelihoods programme, with METGE already overseeing the planting of tree targets.
