2018 JONES CRISPS ANGLESEY HALF MARATHON & 10K - WHAT TO EXPECT

The 2018 Jones Crisps Anglesey Half Marathon & 10k takes place on Sunday 4th March, with a record 2,300 runners expected to take part across the Half Marathon, 10k and junior Dragon’s Dash races. Here’s what to expect from the action packed day of running…

The Half Marathon

Now in its eighth year, the Jones Crisps Anglesey Half Marathon has gone from strength to strength, showcasing this spectacular part of Anglesey to the rest of the UK and cementing its reputation as one of the most beautiful half marathon courses in the country.

The course is undulating and quick, and runners can expect stunning views across Snowdonia National Park and the Menai Straits around every corner.

The 10k

Launched for the first time in 2017, the 10k returns for a second year in 2018. The 10k follows much of the same route from the iconic start line on Menai Suspension Bridge, but turns around before reaching Beaumaris and heading back to the finish in the centre Menai Bridge.

RibRide Dragon’s Dash

Powered by Anglesey adventure boat tour company RibRide, the popular Dragon’s Dash junior race is a 1 mile sprint from the same start line as the adult races direct to the finish line in the town centre.

Over 200 children from across North Wales are expected to participate in the race which is co-organised with the help of Anglesey County Council.

Not a runner? Then come along to cheer on the competitors as they make their way around the course and visit the event village which will be bustling throughout with hot food & drink and much more available to runners and spectators.
