A Pause for the Cardiff Triathlon
Established in 2015, the Cardiff Triathlon has been a staple of the triathlon calendar for the past 10 years, set against the stunning backdrop of Cardiff Bay. Known for its perfect mix of fast city racing and iconic scenery, it has become a much-loved event for athletes and supporters alike.
Cardiff Bay is currently undergoing significant development, including the construction of a brand-new arena and improved transport links, set to be completed within the next two years. Unfortunately, these works mean that the necessary road closures for a safe and enjoyable bike course cannot be secured at this time.

While the Cardiff Triathlon will take a temporary break, the event organisers Always Aim High Events remain committed to its return. Triathletes can look forward to an exciting comeback, promising bigger, better, and even more memorable racing experiences in the years ahead. Based in North Wales, Always Aim High Events organises some of the most iconic triathlon and duathlon events on the calendar, including the renowned Slateman and Sandman Triathlons.
