Published: 03.10.2018

Ahead of the Trail Duathlon at Coed y Brenin Forest Park on Sunday 4th November we’re taking a look at what the event has to offer.

Moving into its second year the Trail Duathlon is the only one of its kind in North Wales - an entirely off road trail race.

Featuring world-renowned forest park trails, this Duathlon consists of challenging mountain bike sections and two testing trail running routes. It's a perfect opportunity to experience famous running and biking trails in one unforgettable race.

Two routes have been designed and are available to individuals or teams. The longer distance ‘full’ route consists of a 9km run, 28km bike, with a 5km run to finish. The smaller ‘sprint’ distance is 5km run, 15km bike and a 1.8km run.

The course is a real challenge with a unique mix of steep climbs, fast descents and stunning views. The Odlo Coed y Brenin Trail Duathlon promises to excite athletes of all abilities.

Tim Lloyd, Director at Always Aim High Events said: “We are super excited to be bringing the Odlo Trail Duathlon to Coed y Brenin again this year. We’re working closely with our colleagues at Natural Resources Wales to ensure that the event will be on the best trails possible in the UK, all around the UK’s number trail centre.”
