Route Description

The race starts on the beautiful North Shore of the Llandudno Promenade outside the Imperial Hotel. You’ll run past the iconic pier and onto the Great Orme itself. With sea views on one side and towering cliffs on the other, you surely won’t notice the incline under your legs in this first section! At the far end of the Great Orme is the ‘Rest And Be Thankful' cafe, which marks you're close to the halfway point. No time to rest, but get ready to be thankful because the wonderful flying descent is just ahead! You’ll flow down the road towards West Shore enjoying incredible views of Conwy Castle and Anglesey ahead and to your right. At 8km you’ll arrive back in Llandudno and run along the historic Victorian streets that will take you back to the Promenade and the Finish Line.

Important Information

Minimum Age

You must be at least 15 years old to take part in this race.

Registration

Everyone who has paid for postage & registered at least 3 weeks before the event date will receive their bib (race number) by post. If you are one of these people, there is no need to register face-to-face before the event. If you registered within 3 weeks of the event, or chose to collect your bib, you will need to visit Registration at St George Hotel (LL30 2LG).

Your Final Instructions will be emailed to you 10 days before the event, and will also be available on the website.

An Information Desk will be available at St George Hotel on Sunday morning for any other enquiries.

Applications will not be taken on the day.

Start Time

The Nick Beer 10k usually starts at midday, though this is subject to change. The race start time will be confirmed in your Final Instructions which are emailed to you and available to view on the website 10 days prior to the race.

Cut Off Times

In the interest of athlete safety and the safety of our volunteers on the course, there will be strict cut-off times in place.

You should aim to complete this 10k within 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Prizes

We hold a prize-giving ceremony after the racing, approximate timings will be detailed in the Final Instructions however it is a good idea to listen out for information on any updates that come in over the tannoy. Sometimes the ceremony may be delayed and we wouldn't want you to miss out. We don't send out prizes after the event, so make sure you attend the ceremony and receive your big Welsh cheer!
