Getting to Newborough Forest

Newborough Forest is situated in the village of Newborough on the south west coast of Anglesey. It has good transport links and is easy to find. Use the postcode LL61 6SG to bring you to the right road. It's about a mile from the village to the access road on the edge of the forest.

Direct services take you to the popular North Wales destinations from most parts of Britain.

The closest station to Newborough is Bodorgan on the main line to Holyhead. This is a request stop so you must indicate to a member of train staff that you wish to get off at this stop or it will pass straight through. It is about 4 miles from Newborough Village and an easy cycle.

Bus

There are several bus stops in the village. Buses run from Bangor on the mainland to Llangefni in the centre of the island and vice versa stopping at Newborough as well as other local towns and villages. Bangor and Llangefni are major towns, with lots of amenities and large train stations.

Car

There’s quick, straightforward access from the North West along the M56 and A55. Motorway links with the Midlands are good too, and the same roads – the M6, M5 and M1 – also bring Anglesey within easy reach of the South of England.

Sea

Irish Ferries and Stena Line operate regular and high-speed services to Holyhead from Dublin.
