2024 Ride Report

11th Annual Tour de Môn: A Stunning Success

This weekend, we celebrated the 11th edition of our spectacular cycle sportive, the Tour de Môn, proudly sponsored by Bulmer Leisure.

We were thrilled to welcome 1,000 riders who took on one of three challenging routes: the 107-mile Mawr, the 77-mile Canol, and the 46-mile Bach. Each route offered a breathtaking circumnavigation of Anglesey's beautiful coastline, showcasing iconic sights such as the Menai Suspension Bridge, the charming village of Beaumaris, the historic Melin Llynnon (home of the famous Mônuts), and the stunning Trearddur Bay, before finishing back at Newry Green, Holyhead.

The weather couldn’t have been better for a day of cycling—starting off dry and overcast, with the sun making an appearance later in the morning and sticking around for most of the day.

In addition to the main rides, we also hosted the ever-popular children’s Tour de Teulu. It was heartwarming to see so many young riders participate in the 3.5-mile route along the coast of Holyhead. As always, the Ynys Môn Celts basketball team volunteered their time to support the event, helping make it a memorable experience for the children. After the ride, the kids enjoyed free crafts and activities in the event village, courtesy of Silver Bay Holiday Park, our headline sponsors for this event.

The event village buzzed with energy throughout the afternoon. Riders and spectators alike indulged in delicious offerings from local food vendors, including Pizza Llan, Coffi Dre, and Môn Ice.

Unfortunately, due to ongoing runway refurbishments, we couldn’t offer the iconic Flying Mile section past the RAF runway this year. However, we’re excited to announce that it will be back in 2025.

Congratulations to everyone who completed one of the three routes! You can find all the ride times and photos using the buttons below.

As always, a huge thank you to our dedicated marshals and volunteers. We couldn’t host these incredible events without their support.
