Weston Park 2024 Triathlon Standard
New for 2024, the Standard distance triathlon offers the perfect early season race at the stunning Weston Park. You may have already started your season with a pool swim sprint and are looking to ramp up to bigger things or are are starting your season now; either way, with a sheltered open water swim, closed flat roads and a beautiful run through the estate it's hard to beat doing it at stunning, central Weston Park.
Wonderfully supported and with places to explore and play for all the family, an Always Aim High Events welcome awaits you for the first Standard triathlon in the Weston Park Estate.
Beginning with a 1500m looped swim in the large Weston Park Lake, surrounded by woodland and birdlife, this is certainly a picturesque triathlon. Exit the water and make your way across open parkland to transition for the first time.
Head out on your bike for our speedy road course. Take the time to look and you won’t miss some of the natural flora and fauna on offer as you exit the estate. Following a tour of the Shropshire country lanes, you'll return into the estate for stretches of tree lined roads. You’ll navigate past grand estate buildings. You will complete three laps of this fast, rolling circuit before heading back into transition.
With your running shoes on you’ll feel the full charm of the Weston Park estate. The route will initially send you running through open parkland, before turning you into a woodland garden. Here things get impressive; you’ll head on a 180degree run of a the stunning temple pool before darting around paths dwarfed by ancient trees. You’ll pop out the woodland to impressive views of the Weston Park house and head back through open parkland for your second loop, before heading towards the finish line and your heroes welcome!
